Doppio Dialogo
Doppio dialogo
AMEDEO SANZONE
LUDOVICO BOMBEN
08.02 – 02.06 2025
The exhibition, curated by Almerinda Di Benedetto, Enrico Lucchese and Alessandra Santin, will be open until the second of June 2025.
The initiative is promoted by I.P.A.V. (Venetian Public Assistance Institutions) in collaboration with Gioielli Nascosti di Venezia – Fondazione Venezia and organized by Fondazione Giovanni Santin ONLUS per il contemporaneo and Theke Museum.
Some artworks belonging to the university collection V:Ar.Co (Vanvitelli for Contemporary Art) at the Department of Letters and Cultural Heritage (DiLBeC) in Santa Maria Capua Vetere will be exhibited in the monumental space of Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo and in front of the magnificent Paradiso by Jacopo Tintoretto: a
double dialogue (doppio dialogo in italian), precisely, between original modern and past expressions.
Ludovico Bomben (Pordenone, 1982) and Amedeo Sanzone (Naples, 1968) will find a point of contact and comparison in the search for the refinement of forms thanks to the special materials that distinguish their production: each will have a own space of representation and they will find a union in front of the sky of Paradise.
The dialogue at Bovolo will therefore be triggered by the works donated to V:Ar.Co alongside new site-specific works: the preparatory nature of the large Tintoretto canvas will allow the meeting between different but similar feelings.
The exhibition project will continue with the second artistic couple, Olimpia Biasi and Antonello Tagliafierro, protagonists of the second “double dialogue” from 6th of June to 31st of August 2025: they will be asked to propose and re-discuss their parallel reflections on Nature and its increasingly evident and lacerated wounds.
Near the finissage of the first event, Friday 30th May 2025, a single catalogue (MyMonkey Edizioni, Bologna) will be presented at Bovolo for both exhibitions, a scientific instrument and memory of the project.
Opening hours:
Monday – Sunday: 09:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. until the 23rd of February 2025
