Ove V’è Vetro

ANTONIO DEI ROSSI LUCA GIANNOLA

05th september 2025 – 12th january 2026

Between the events of the Venice Glass Week, there is also the exhibition “Ove V’è Vetro” in Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo. The two rooms host the beautiful and peculiar glass creations and dresses designed by Antonio dei Rossi and Luca Giannola.

The Tintoretto Hall shows many creations of the incredible glassmaker dei Rossi where the main protagonists are his figurative murrine. His last creations range between crystal vases with silver frames and designed jewels decorated with murrine. Each of them is a unique piece inspiring and inspired by the themes of the latters. Some of these jewels are presented with dresses made specifically for them that have been shown at the Paris Fashion Week and on the red carpet of the Venice International Film Festival. His artworks can be bold and provocative thanks to their unusual themes: in this way, they push the observer to reflect on them. The technical expertise and the aesthetic research of Antonio dei Rossi’s murrine and design creations always lead to many interesting interpretations and meanings.

The second room shows the artworks of the fashion designer Luca Giannola, his idea of interpretation of the dress as a “wearable sculpture” and his research of the modeling of the texture through the art of moulage. Four dresses that have been shown at the Paris Fashion Week of this year are the main protagonists of the hall, together with four collars/gorgets characterized by airy scrolls and glass fragments. All these creations are born from his recent research in which he uses recycled glass as decorations or as a structure for the dress, creating an elegant aesthetic while giving importance to sustainability. Aside from the dresses, there are also a few fashion sketches made by the artist that perfectly show his constant graphic and material research.
